Eduardo’s Hideaway Aruba, The Best Breakfast

I first came across Eduardo’s Hideaway during a 2022 visit to Aruba. Every day, we would drive by Eduardo’s Hideaway in Noord and say tomorrow, we should try it. Well, on our last morning in Aruba, we stopped…and I wish we had stopped the first day.

So I just returned from another visit to Aruba, and on this trip, we ate at Eduardo’s at least 4 times. And it is just as perfect as I remember it.

Finding The Best Breakfast In Aruba!

Aruba is somewhat of a culinary wasteland. Nothing lives up to the hype. You often are enjoying the view, not the food. And although breakfast is hard to mess up, all the fuss about the Dutch pancake places leaves a bit to be desired.

But Eduardo’s is the exact opposite. The food is creative, healthy, and delicious. It is my favorite place to eat on the island. It’s not fancy or pretentious; it is just good food in a relaxed atmosphere.

Eduardo’s has several locations. The most well-known is the Beach Shack along the beach walk in Palm Beach. There is also an Eduardo’s Food Truck (often parked in the Baby Beach area) and a location in Savaneta. Plus, the newest location is Eduardo’s Cabana in Eagle Beach.

But my favorite is the Hideaway in Noord. From the road, it doesn’t look like much. But step onto the front patio and discover an inviting place to eat. The staff was amiable, and the service was good. You can either order at the table or order takeaway from the counter.

What To Order At Eduardo’s

On my first visit, I ordered the Acai bowl, which was colorful and oh-so-delicious. The fruit in the Caribbean is always amazing, fresh, and ripe with lots of flavors. The Acai bowl is a thick smoothie served in a bowl and loaded with toppings. Mike (who is always way more adventurous) ordered the Chickpea Omelette, which looked as great as it tasted. It’s made with a chickpea flower and doesn’t contain any eggs.

On my latest visit to Arbua, we ordered the Pipeline Bowl, Eduardo’s Special Bowl, the Big Breakfast, and Breakfast Tacos, all of which were excellent. Plus, the fresh-pressed juice and smoothies are great!

Eduardo’s also serves lunch with a great selection of creative dishes. You have fresh and healthy options from Black Bean Burgers to Poke Bowls. I am not a sushi or raw seafood eater, but I found several good choices on the menu.

The focus of the menu is healthier, fresh food. You will find great vegetarian options. But don’t let that scare you away if you are not committed to a veggie-forward diet; the food is filled with flavor and is not strictly vegetarian.

My Favorite Place To Stay In Aruba
If you are looking for a place to stay in Aruba, my favorite place is the Boardwalk Boutique Hotel. It’s smaller, more intimate and although not directly on the beach, it as it’s own dedicated beach with shade and lounge chairs.

A spoonful of the Pipeline Bowl.

And if you like a morning cocktail, they have you covered. Try a Bloody Mary, Ocean Mimosa, or an Espresso Martini. After all, you’re on vacation, so a little day drinking is to be expected.

The coffee and chai were terrific. And the prices were great. Don’t let a trip to Aruba go by without stopping at one of Eduardo’s locations, and do it on the first day!
